The VQD106PADS kit is the same as the VQD106 model but without the module and connection cables, allowing you to add the compatible V-Drums module of your choice.

You supply your own sound module, here are some examples:
- You already own a Roland drum module from another Roland V-Drum Kit
- Purchase a TD-17 module and save 3% with purchase of the VQDPADS
- You already own a different brand of drum module: Yamaha, Alesis, etc. (may or may not have full compatibility depending on module)
- Buy a used Roland drum module from eBay, Reverb, etc.
