Description

This is a BEAUTIFUL, BRAND NEW LOOKING/PLAYING MINT CONDITION Yamaha Five Foot Three Inch Conservatory Series C1 Baby Grand Piano. This piano is in “LIKE NEW” condition and sounds and plays like a dream!  Compare this to the brand new C1 that sells new for $39,899. This piano looks and plays BRAND NEW and will make it difficult for you to justify spending twenty something thousand extra to get a new one, it’s still essentially like a brand new piano!  Yamaha C1’s are high quality pianos are designed and built to last 100+ years which makes buying a used one such an incredible value. All Yamaha C1’s are made in Hamamatsu, Japan.  Our price is always based on age and condition of the specific piano. Shop and Compare…because we focus on a limited number of mint condition like new pianos, we have low overhead so we are typically 10% less than what most dealers ask for the same year model and condition piano.

This C1 includes the following:
* FIVE year limited Austin Area warranty
* Austin Area delivery (up to $350 value; may be an extra charge for stairs and other obstacles)
* One in-home tuning ($160 value)
* Piano Bench ($200 value)
* We accept cash, check, credit card, debit card, or our bank offers low interest payment plans with approved credit

We acquire used Yamaha grand pianos in one of four ways:

  1. purchase direct from individuals
  2. take them on trade
  3. take them on consignment
  4. THIS ONE:  we buy from a company called DoReMi that specializes in restoring Yamaha and Kawai pianos to near like new condition, which our customers find that these pianos offer the best value.  Refurbished C1’s will cosmetically look like new.  The internal mechanisms have been gone through and put back to factory specification either by adjustments or by replacing worn parts.  Think about this…an acoustic piano’s action alone contains about 8000 parts, many of which wear and deteriorate over time.  The DoReMi factory is located in Hamamatsu City, Japan and houses the most modern machinery and tooling available. In addition, their technicians and craftspeople (most of whom come to us from the production lines of the two best Japanese piano manufactures) are among the most skilled and experienced in the piano industry.  Yamaha Conservatory Series Grand Pianos are the most popular of all grand pianos purchased in the United States as well as Japan.

The Yamaha C-Series Grand Pianos are the most sought after used pianos on the market. It is constantly recommended by teachers, tuners, piano technicians, and pianists. We focus only on the best C-Series to be found on the market. They are always in EXCELLENT like new mint condition! We always seem to find them, and almost always have a few in stock. Most people are surprised when we tell them the C-Series grand they are looking at is actually a used piano. The C1 is the perfect size for most homes providing an excellent tone without overwhelming your room with the size.  (Please note that Yamaha makes a lower quality series of grand pianos that start with letters such as G, GL, GH, GB, etc., while these are good pianos, they are not the same quality nor do they carry the resale value of the C-Series Grand Pianos).

Why buy a used piano??? Last year in the United States there were over an estimated 1 million pianos sold, of those, 20,000 were new, and the remainder of over 980,000 were used. It’s hard to compare a used piano to buying a used car or a used computer or almost anything else used. If you don’t normally buy things used, there are lots of good reasons to buy a high quality used piano like the Yamaha U1. Here are just a few:

  • a high quality piano’s soundboard improves with age
  • a new piano’s tone doesn’t start to mature until it’s five to ten years old
  • a new piano’s action can take a few years to break in
  • a well cared for top brand piano like the U1 is virtually like buying new but for much less
  • Yamaha U1 pianos are designed and built to last 100+ years
  • We’ve been in business since 1988 and have sold an incredible amount of gently played Yamaha U-Series upright and C-series grand pianos,.  They are an amazing-awesome-top quality brand of piano and we are so confident that you are buying a solid piano that we stand behind it with our 5 year warranty!
