Joy Chang has enjoyed playing the piano since she was four years old. In high school, she completed the highest level of the Certificate of Merit through the Music Teachers’ Association of California and received “Top Talent” honors as a student multiple years through the American College of Musicians/National Guild of Piano Teachers auditions. As an undergraduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles, she accompanied students majoring in music through Chamber Music classes and voice lessons while completing a Bachelor’s degree in psychobiology, and later completed a Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin. She has been accompanying for various churches since the ninth grade for congregations up to 4000 attendees. She very much appreciates connecting with her students and teaching young children. In their free time, she and her husband love to host college students and other members of the community for dinner and fellowship in their home.
